    It seems like they're still figuring out how to produce the consistency of quality they're shooting for. I've been here a few times now and while the food had been good, I don't think they're hitting the mark they're aiming for. Ranked 4 because of doneness issues with steak (still really good, but oddly "done" when the other two steaks also ordered rare came out closer to blue). Interesting menu for Hollister, hummus and sweetbreads are delicious. Worth multiple trips to try it all.

    This place is so awesome!!!!!!! Friendly, fun environment. Food is amazing! Customer service is off the charts!!!! Had the duck, it was really good. Good job Fisher's!!!!

    Amazing new downtown restaurant in Hollister! Wife and I go at least once a week since they opened. We've tried the Pesto Chicken, French Dip, and Cuban sandwiches - all awesome! The Grilled Asparagus salad is our fav. Mike, the owner, adds a special twist to his menu that we really enjoy. The team has been very nice, polite and professional every time we visit.

    A hidden little gem in Hollister.

    The food here is Brilliant. The owner Mike Fisher is very hands on and absolutely passionate about his craft. The moment we stepped in through the door, Mike welcomed us in, and briefly had a chat with us...mostly wine talk. Fisher's was highly recommended by the staff DeRose Vineyards and at Calera as well. They did mention he had a stint at Le Cordon Bleu Culinary Academy in France. We might have gone wine tasting before we came here ;-)

    On to the food stuff...but first some more wine. We heard Fisher's had the DeRose Cab Franc on tap...while that is generally true, they ran out of it that day :-( Mike apologized and mentioned that he stopped by DeRose earlier in the morning to pick some up, but they weren't open. So, we settled for a glass of the House wine - Fishers Red, Calera Pinot Noir and Calera Chardonnay.

    OK fine...that was more wine talk...now the food stuff:

    - Grilled Sweetbreads - For those who aren't all that familiar, these are NOT breads at all...lol. In fact Sweetbreads are the culinary names for the thymus (also called throat, gullet, or neck sweetbread) or the pancreas (also called heart, stomach, or belly sweetbread), especially of calf (ris de veau) and lamb (ris d'agneau), and, less commonly, of beef and pork. Think of these as meat candy, fresh, juicy, moist tender deliciousness.

    - French dip - Yum! Can't think of anything bad, just wished it was a tad bigger...but that's just me being a fatty. Loved the au jus sauce.

    - Flat Iron Steak - Perfectly done, just the way we asked for it. The meat was juicy, tender and full of flavor, not drowned in seasoning. The Caesar salad was wonderful as well, fresh, crispy juicy lettuce.

    - Vegetable Sandwich - Brilliant, even though it was not for me. The Hummus inside is just delightful, good size with fresh salad on the side.

    The staff was very friendly and the the venue was very clean, still looked fairly new.

    Definitely a great spot to get a bite...looking forward to coming back.
